For example, in a study conducted with 97 participants from the company Mintel, US, 60% of respondents said they believe that a gluten free diet can treat certain health conditions. More than 1/3 is convinced that even improves digestive health.
Beyond the specific deficiencies, 31% of participants thought that gluten-free foods are healthier, and a similar proportion imagine that doctors recommend this type of intake to lose weight.
